Appeal denied for Clifton Park businessman who left friend paralyzed

A judge has denied an appeal from John Cole, the prominent businessman from Clifton Park who wanted a felony assault conviction against him thrown out.

He was found guilty in connection with a 2017 car crash that left his friend paralyzed.

Cole's attorney argued his client wasn't reckless, even though he had been drinking and ignored warnings from his passengers to slow down.
