SARATOGA SPRINGS - In one of her scenes on MTV's Jersey Shore, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi can be heard shouting, "Hello, party's here!"

Snooki has made a career of being a partier and Wednesday night, she's bringing her party to Saratoga Springs.

"Yeah, Snooki's coming to town," smiled Saratoga Springs Police Lt. Robert Jillson.

Her appearance at Gaffney's follows by a couple weeks a big show by Snooki's former co-star, DJ Pauly D, which drew a big enthusiastic crowd.

Neigbors, including Robin Dalton, the city's incoming public safety commissioner, are paying attention to the high-profile appearances.

"It makes it a new and difficult situation for our police department to make sure everyone is staying safe and gets home safely in one piece," said Dalton.

Even without Snooki, the bars were already all-hands-on-deck for one of the busiest nights of the year.

"It's a younger night, that's for sure, but it's a fun night. It's up there with New Year’s Eve and here Travers," said Charlie Hoertkorn, an owner of Caroline Street Pub.

Saratoga Springs Police typically schedule more officers on Thanksgiving Eve, and when Snooki was added to the mix, they kicked it up another notch.

"As things evolve, we'll make sure they're afforded the resources they need to control the streets and make sure it's a safe night for everybody," said Jillson.

Bar owners say DJ Pauly D's appearance was good for all businesses on Caroline Street and they're hoping Snooki will do the same.

"I'm not too familiar with her," said Hoertkorn. "But if it brings business to the town, hey, we're all about people coming to town."

NewsChannel 13 was unable reach the owners of Gaffney's, who live out of the area.
