Happy homecoming for Army specialist from Nassau

April 09, 2019 05:08 PM

COLONIE - Each day in every newscast, NewsChannel 13 salutes local service men and women. We were at a homecoming on Tuesday for one of our honorees.

Army Specialist Nicholas Terry of Nassau has been stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. That's the home of the 25th Infantry Tropic Lightning. He's been there for the past three years and is coming home.

Terry graduated from Columbia High School in 2015.

His two siblings took a day off from school to surprise him at the airport.

Army Specialist Terry's team was chosen to participate in the recent ceremony of the deceased POW's return from North Korea with Vice President Mike Pence.
