Woman charged in connection with Warren County death out on bail

A Glens Falls woman charged in connection with a deadly stabbing on Friday is out on bail.

NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Post-Star report Ashley Bell was released on Sunday.

Bell and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Jesse Breault, were arrested in connection with the death of 36-year-old Christopher Goss.

Bell was accused of removing evidence and lying to police. She was also accused of violating probation on a misdemeanor petit larceny conviction. However, a judge released her on her own recognizance.

Breault remains locked up on second-degree murder charges.

Both said over the weekend they were acting in "self-defense."

Police tell the paper they think it started as a fight between Bell and Goss' girlfriend.

The Warren County D.A. said over the weekend that a grand jury could hear the case as early as Tuesday morning.
