Some top tennis athletes will take the stage on Tuesday night for the Aurora Games.

The Aurora Games began with a kickoff event on Monday night at the Empire State Plaza with a fireworks show.

The Aurora Games will feature six days of different competitions. There will also be seminars hosted at the Capital Center.

“I think the Albany Capital Center was really very much a part of our decision to come to Albany,” said Aurora Games Founder, Jerry Solomon. “We have the Studio A Walkway which will take us over to the fan zone. There are a lot of things going on over there, including conversations with champions.”

“I think it will make for a great festival like atmosphere, he added.

The Aurora Games also features the Athletes Bill of Rights with Global Athletes.

“I want to make sure when we put on something like this, of this magnitude, that we start with the athletes and give them an opportunity to really have a fair platform,” said Solomon.
