Bus company: Driver taking Averill Park kids to Canada was detained due to paperwork issue

The tour bus driver detained at the Canadian border last week while transporting Averill Park kids on a field trip is back stateside now on a three-day tour.

Canadian officials won't release any information. However, a supervisor with Wade Tours told NewsChannel 13 on Wednesday it was a paperwork issue and has been cleared up.

Dozens of middle school students from Averill Park were on a field trip to Quebec City last Friday, when they were held up for several hours until another driver arrived.
