Bear cubs spotted crossing Greene County road

CAIRO - It was quite the sight for a driver in Greene County on Wednesday.

The Cairo Police Department says two bear cubs were caught crossing a road in town.

Luckily, the driver stopped before hitting them.

Police did not say where in the town this happened or what time on Wednesday. NewsChannel 13 left a message with them to find out. We're waiting to hear back.

Police are reminding people not to approach bear cubs, saying even if you can't see her – mama bear is never too far.
