The Department of Environmental Conservation was brought in Thursday with tranquilizer guns, but the bear wandered back into the woods. They say that's exactly what they want.

Experts tell NewsChannel 13 Rotterdam residents should not leave trash out unless it has a lid on it, as it might attract the bear. They also want to emphasize that you should stay away from the bear if you happen to see it.
