Bennington Police arrest robbery suspect

Bennington Police arrested an armed robbery suspect after an incident at a Dollar General. 

Police say 67 year old Robert Piatt went into the store on Main Street Friday night showing a gun before taking off with money. 


Police say Piatt has been arrested and all the money has been recovered. 

After the arrest, investigators learned Piatt has an arrest warrant out of Idaho for parole violation on charges of robbery by stabbing and armed robbery with a handgun.
