Bennington police have identified the body found Sunday in the Roaring Branch River.

They say she was 45-year-old Bridget Osgood of Bennington.

An autopsy was performed, but the cause of death remains uncertain until results of toxicology tests come back. That could be several weeks.

Police continue to treat her death as suspicious in nature.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bennington police.
