Local pet store raising money for Hurricane Michael animals

An effort is underway to raise money for animals affected by Hurricane Michael.

All six Benson's Pet Center locations are hosting a "Relief at the Register" fund drive.

Benson's is working to rescue, care for and re-home animals displaced by the storm. They're also working to keep families together with their pets.

So far, more than $6,000 has been raised to help the animals in need.
