October 07, 2019 12:07 PM

Five days before the grand opening of Wayfair's call center in Berkshire County, a fire broke out.

According to NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Berkshire Eagle, a heating unit caught fire.

Employees were in the office at the time and extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived.

The call center's grand opening and ribbon cutting is expected to take place on Thursday.

No word on if that will be delayed.
