ROTTERDAM - The well-known Pilot truck stop in Rotterdam is even more popular because of the storm.

The truck stop, which is just west of Schalmont High School, was overwhelmed and overburdened on Monday with big-rigs, 18-wheelers, flatbed trucks, delivery trucks, and box trucks, that there simply wasn’t enough room for everyone.

To make up for it, the big-rigs were parked on both sides of the road.

However, that creates a whole new problem. As the snowplows tried to clear the road, there were no shoulders where the plow drivers were able to push the snow – if they were able to squeeze by the trucks in the first place.

The good news – the situation was starting to clear up by around noontime.
