Tavern involved in tragic 2016 Colonie crash being rebuilt

Blessings Tavern in Colonie will be rebuilt now that the owner has secured a loan.

The tavern was heavily damaged when Michael Carr crashed into it in 2016. The accident burned his passenger Niko DiNovo, who eventually died from his injuries over a year after the crash.

Carr was sentenced to six years in prison.

The owner of the tavern says she will announce the date of the groundbreaking ceremony soon.
