Governor Kathy Hochul announced new eligibility for a second COVID-19 booster dose.
The State's guidance follows the FDA's approval of emergency use authorization for a second booster dose.
It allows adults 50 or older to receive a second booster dose at least four months after their first dose.
Immunocompromised people over the age of 12 can also receive a second booster dose.
Adults 18 to 49, who received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, are also eligible four months after their first booster.
