Rotterdam man sentenced for Guilderland burglary

A Rotterdam man will spend up to six years in prison for burglary.

Brian Beloncik was sentenced Friday in Albany County Supreme Court.

Last April, he broke into a home on Western Avenue in Guilderland.

When the homeowner returned, he hid in the bathroom for an hour. He then came out wearing a mask, showed a knife and fled the scene.

Beloncik was later caught with the victim's property in his pockets.
