AVERILL PARK - There's some great news about one of our 13 Kids Who Care.

NewsChannel 13 first introduced you to Averill Park 11th grader Faith Murray back in May.

Faith is an advocate for students like her, who have a visual impairment. She's been collecting bottles and cans to raise money to help them.

She got a boost from the school's transportation department on Friday. It collected enough bottles to fill a small bus.

Faith turns everything in for refunds, then uses the money towards Camp Abilities, which provides kids who are visually impaired with opportunities in adaptive sports.

In all, nearly 35 bags were collected. It's expected that each bag will bring in about 350 cans.
