Capital Region Buddy Walk kicks off with parade

Like so many annual events, the pandemic transformed the Capital Region's 24th Annual Buddy Walk.

Dozens of cars lined up to celebrate the achievements of individuals with Down Syndrome.


Albany Police Department's mounted patrol kicked off the parade and virtual fundraiser.

Several characters, along with Albany firefighters and the K9 Unit, were on hand to lend their support.
