The Capital Region saw a significant drop in the percentage of positive coronavirus tests on Thursday compared to Wednesday.

Gov. Cuomo says they dropped from 2.1% on Wednesday to 1.1% on Thursday.

However, the Mohawk Valley saw a slight uptick in positive cases, from 0.9% on Wednesday to 1.0% on Thursday.

The highest percentage of positive cases was 1.6% in Western New York.

The governor says hospitalizations statewide have dropped to 576. That's the lowest since March 17.

Unfortunately, another five people died across the state.
