Capital Region hit with severe storms

Severe storms swept through the Capital Region Friday.

Several counties were put under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning; Southeastern Warren and Northeastern Saratoga Counties were under a Tornado Warning for some time.


The entire Capital Region was under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 9 p.m.

Thousands of people were left without power, according to National Grid. Saratoga County had the most outages, with more than 10,000 customers affected.

Wires and trees came down in parts of the North Country.
