Capital Region woman celebrates 103rd birthday

A Capital Region woman is celebrating a big milestone this weekend.

Alice Bethea turned 103 years old on Friday. She was born in 1915. Bethea celebrated by going to church on Sunday morning.

She still lives on her own, plays piano and has a dog named Buddy. Bethea says she's hoping to have at least a few more birthdays.

"I thank God that I have knowledge enough to know at 103 years old I still can think right and I feel right,” she said. “I don't have a pain. Nothing hurts."

Bethea says she has four grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren that she is very thankful for.
