Capital Rep on track to be in their new home by July 2020

ALBANY - "The Rep" is getting a new home.

Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany gave an update on the renovation project Thursday for what will be their new building.


It's moving into the former National Biscuit Company building on 251 North Pearl Street.

Construction is already underway.

It is a $13.5 million project.

They are trying to raise $650,000 in funding.

The new theater will feature a 300-seat mainstage with improved sightlines and traffic flow.

The anticipated opening of the venue is July 2020 - with a production of the musical "Sister Act."
