WATERVLIET - Two people are recovering after being hit by a car in Watervliet on Thursday night.

The crash closed 3rd Avenue for a short time.

The car that hit the pedestrians was headed northbound in front of Patrick's Pub.

The victims were crossing the street because their rideshare driver showed up. That driver witnessed the accident and claims the two victims were knocked into the road and briefly unconscious.

One person suffered serious injuries and was still at Albany Medical Center as of noontime Friday.

The driver of the car involved in the crash stopped immediately. He was questioned and issued a ticket,  but is not facing additional charges at this time.
