Police: 'Deadliest opioid on America's streets' found in Gloversville

GLOVERSVILLE - It's considered the deadliest opioid available on the streets of America and for the first time, carfentanil has been found in upstate New York.

Gloversville police and the Drug Enforcement Agency say they seized the drug during a raid on 3rd Street last week.

Justin Brooker, 25, was arrested.

Gloversville police officers will now carry higher levels of NARCAN to counter the effects of the more potent drug.
