CLIFTON PARK – A cat found with apparent chemical burns in Clifton Park is going to be okay.

The Saratoga County Animal Shelter says the cat, they named Soldier, is healing and doesn’t need pain medication anymore. He was brought to the shelter to be treated for injuries to his face and neck.

Soldier’s condition has greatly improved after receiving treatment and antibiotics from Dr. Wallingford and the Adirondack Vet Hospital.

Anyone who wants to make a donation can do so through the Friends of the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.

State police would like anyone with any information about the cat's owner or this case to give them a call at (518) 583-7000.
