TROY - The Troy Rehabilitation and Improvement Program or "TRIP" is teaming up with CDPHP to make the community healthier.
The two organizations cut the ribbon Friday morning on a new satellite office in Troy’s Hillside North neighborhood.
"TRIP" will provide residents access to information on quality rental units, workshops and a path to homeownership.
Through CDPHP, they can connect with health specialists, learn about free or low-cost insurance and other resources.
"As a physician governed, not-for-profit regional health plan, it’s really about the health of our community," noted Dr. John Bennett, the president and CEO of CDPHP. "I couldn't be more proud than to stand here, particularly in Troy, which has a lot of personal connection to me and my wife's family for hundreds of years. I'm very proud here to stand before you and offer our assistance to this community,"
The location used to be a garage before the renovation. It was donated by a neighbor, the late Emanuel Pompey. The building is dedicated in his memory.
