GUILDERLAND - A special partnership will help soldiers call home for the holidays.

State Senator George Amedore and AT&T announced the collaboration with the non-profit Cell Phones for Soldiers at Crossgates Mall on Thursday.

All proceeds from recycled phones collected in the 46th Senate District will be used to buy calling cards for troops abroad and veterans at home.

Mobile device collection is underway at AT&T stores throughout the region.
