SARATOGA SPRINGS - A new addition is coming to Saratoga Race Course next summer and the organizers say it's much-needed.

Homebuilder and horse owner Michael Dubb is building a nearly 4,000 square foot child care center on the Oklahoma Training Track side of Union Avenue.

It's a project that piggybacks on the success of the Belmont Child Care association and its facility at Belmont Park.

This center in Saratoga will serve families of backstretch workers who move to the Capital Region every summer.

The pandemic has forced the BCCA to adjust its annual fundraiser in Saratoga to a virtual event.

A week-long auction starting this coming Monday.
