Child recovers after being hit by a car in Albany

A child is recovering after being hit by a car in Albany this weekend.

Police say he suffered a head injury and remains in stable condition at Albany Medical Center.


The six-year-old boy is believed to have run into the road near the intersection of South Hawk Street and Morton Avenue on Saturday afternoon.    

The driver stopped and cooperated at the scene.
