Albany cop involved in deadly Utica shooting suspended without pay

Albany Police Officer Christofer Kitto has been suspended without pay.

Kitto was involved in a fatal shooting on Monday in Utica while off-duty.

Kitto says the man he shot and killed was trying to rob him.

The Oneida County District Attorney says it appears it was self-defense, but his investigation isn't over.

Kitto was charged with patronizing a prostitute.
