Classes resume following Niskayuna High lockdown

School is back in session at Niskayuna High School after Monday's lockdown that lasted about 5.5 hours.

Niskayuna police are still searching for the person who left a note indicating a threat at the school.

The lockdown started around 1 p.m. The building was searched Monday. Students were held at school while the building was searched. They were finally released around 6:30 p.m. after the all-clear was given.

Principal John Rickert says there will be counselors on site Tuesday if students want to talk about what happened.
