ALBANY - The Clean Air Coalition gathered outside the Albany County Courthouse on Wednesday to ask legislators to support the Clean Air Law, and County Executive Dan McCoy to issue a moratorium on tire burning in Albany County.

This stems from the Lafarge Cement Plant, which they say plans to burn millions of tires every year.

The group says it wants a clean air new year.

The group says there is a local law that would restrict waste and tire burning in Coeymans, but the incoming town supervisor has said he will not enforce it.
