State police are investigating a home invasion in Clifton Park.

Troopers say the family on Englemore Road heard their dogs barking around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. They opened the door and there was a man with a black handgun. The man pushed his way into the house and demanded money, police say.

The family turned over cash and the suspect fled the scene.

Troopers say the man was wearing a camouflage jacket, dark pants, and had a backpack. He was about 5 feet 11 inches tall.

Police think the family was targeted.
