Local students set to strike for climate action

September 19, 2019 08:47 PM

Millions of students and adults around the world will strike for climate action this week.

Environmental advocates are trying to call attention to the power of New York's Public Service Commission.

The commission regulates utilities.

Advocates say the PSC needs to take action when it comes to the environment, and climate change.

Local climate strikes are planned for Friday.

A march begins at 11 AM in Albany, and ends with a rally in West Capitol Park.
