The fate of Daniel Nellis is now in the hands of a jury, after Wednesday's closing arguments.

Nellis is accused of killing 21-year-old Michaela MacVilla last fall. She was last seen September 25 leaving the Stewart's Shop in St. Johnsville where she worked.

Prosecutors say Nellis took MacVilla to Kingsbrush Road after her shift, sexually assaulted her, then shot her in the back of the head.

Nellis says they had consensual sex at his house before she went missing.
