Young chocolate shop owner following in family's footsteps

SCHENECTADY - Family members are often expected to follow in the family business. However, one young woman thought about it long and hard before realizing she could make her dreams come true by keeping it all in the family.

At Cocobar on State Street in Schenectady, people can get their chocolate fix.

The shop is a new edition to the thriving downtown Schenectady area. The owner, , is just 19 years old, but she's worked in food services since she was a child.

Her family owns Johnny's Italian Restaurant, Villa Italia and Mallozzi's Banquet House, but it all began with her grandfather - who was just about her age when he came to America.

Now, she is trying to follow in his footsteps. It seems like just the kind of store the community has been waiting for.
