Communities across the nation have 'Coffee with a Cop'

Wednesday is "National Coffee with a Cop Day." The purpose is to break down the barriers between police officers and the people they serve.

The event first started in California in 2011 -- and has spread across the country.

NewsChannel 13 stopped by UAlbany, where campus officers met with students and staff.

Similar events were held across the Capital Region.
