Wednesday is "National Coffee with a Cop Day." The purpose is to break down the barriers between police officers and the people they serve.
The event first started in California in 2011 -- and has spread across the country.
NewsChannel 13 stopped by UAlbany, where campus officers met with students and staff.
Similar events were held across the Capital Region.
