SEFCU donation will help pay Cohoes Community Center employees

November 02, 2018 04:16 PM

Employees at the now-closed Cohoes Community Center will be paid for their final week of work.

SEFCU is stepping up to make a donation and will also cover utility costs.

The Cohoes Community Center Board of Directors is now working to deliver paychecks to those employees.

The community center shut down last week because of financial problems, leaving more than 70 people without a job -- and a number of parents without access to daycare.
