#ColdCase13 has been looking into an 18-year-old murder in Albany. Kimberly Wade, also known as Kimberly Merwitz, was found dead behind a dumpster in August 2002.

Wade, who'd been a promising student at Shaker High School and pursued nursing, had been abused as a child and struggled with addiction -- eventually turning to prostitution to support her habit.

She was 41 and a mother of three when she was killed.

NewsChannel 13's Jerry Gretzinger spoke with the officer who found her body and is now leading the investigation. He also found her daughter who now lives in Florida and still wants justice for her mother no matter how long it takes.

Police believe the killer is still living in Albany. Detectives have received some new information that's got them closer than ever to finding her killer.
