As Bob Ross once said, when painting, "we don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents."
On Saturday, students from the Capital District rolled up their sleeves to help the community. They were open to the possibility of happy accidents.
Members from the Albany Center Gallery, Albany County Land Bank Corporation, and 4th Family Inc. joined forces to transform vacant properties into works of art.
Artists went to 337 Clinton Avenue and continued to paint designs in areas that needed a little more love.
“The Corner Canvas program is a great example of how local partners can come together to transform vacant properties into something positive, said Adam Zaranko, Executive Director of the Albany County Land Bank.
On Friday, students installed murals at a vacant building located at 123 Henry Johnson Boulevard and a vacant lot at 325 South Pearl Street.
