Controversial social media comments may have cost a high school principal her job in Oswego County.

Syracuse.com reports Emily Wemmer of Sandy Creek High School wrote about "fighting against conservative, MAGA hat-wearing culture" in her district and the treatment of girls and women. In another post, she wrote, "fathers of students will often try to intimidate me physically."

Wemmer later apologized, saying her comments were misinterpreted and she was just trying to empower female students.

She also said the comments were supposed to be private, but her page was hacked and they became public.

Right now, she's been replaced by the retired high school principal.
