Hudson police investigate crash involving officer

Hudson police are investigating a two-car crash involving one of their officers.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of North 6th Street and Columbia Street.

A Honda Accord driven by 18-year-old Monish Patel from Hudson struck a BMW driven by Officer Jacob Hoffman, who is the school resource officer in Hudson.

Hoffman was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Patel complained of pain, but declined treatment at the scene. He was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, driving while ability impaired by drugs and traffic violations.
