Credit skimming devices found across Capital Region

More skimming devices are turning up in the area, this time in Montgomery County.

The county says numerous devices have been found, including at convenience stores in Amsterdam and Fonda.

Thieves use the electronic credit card readers to capture personal ID numbers.

The devices have also turned up in Berkshire, Bennington, Saratoga and Warren counties. They're virtually impossible to see because they're put inside the gas pump.

If you notice something appears off about the gas pump you are using, or it looks like it has been tampered with, alert an employee or police.
