Fire forces Gloversville family from home

GLOVERSVILLE - A family of five in Gloversville is without a home after a fire.

The fire broke out just after 11:30 Tuesday night at the home at 23 1st Street.


The Gloversville fire chief tells NewsChannel 13 the fire may have started on the front porch.

The first floor of the home sustained significant fire, smoke, and water damage.

There's heat and smoke damage to the second floor of the home.

The family escaped safely, but the home is a total loss.

The exact cause is under investigation.
