Murder trial in St. Johnsville death set for June 3

The murder trial of Daniel Nellis Sr. from Oppenheim is now set to begin June 3.

Nellis is accused of killing 21-year-old Michaela MacVilla last fall.


She was last seen September 25 leaving work at the Stewart's Shop in St. Johnsville. Her body was found a week later in Oppenheim.

The autopsy found MacVilla had been shot in the head.
