A man from Rensselaer will spend more than 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to drug and weapons charges.

Darrell Chapman, 39, is part of a gang called "The Bloods."

He admitted in federal court on Friday that he would buy large amounts of heroin and cocaine in New York City and sell it in the Albany area.

When he was arrested in October 2017, police found 250 grams of heroin in his car and 100 grams of cocaine in his jewelry store on South Pearl Street.

They also found four handguns, two rifles, and over 100 rounds of ammunition.
