NORTH RIVER - Warren County deputies are looking for the reason two cars slammed into each other head-on in North River.

It happened Sunday afternoon on State Route 28 in the hamlet that's part of the town of Johnsburg.

Deputies say 61-year-old John Boya of Indian Lake was driving a Chevy Tahoe. He crashed head on with 64-year-old Cathy Skiba. She was in a Buick sedan.

Skiba was pronounced dead on the scene.

Boya was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies don't think alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision.
