Police identify woman killed in deadly Latham crash

Colonie police have identified the woman hit and killed Tuesday night on Route 2 in Latham. She is 61-year-old Janet Nittoli of New York City.

Police say Nittoli was homeless, frequented the CDTA bus line and the area of Troy Schenectady Road in Latham.

Police are also checking with businesses on Route 2 to see if they can find any video of the accident.

The driver has been cooperating and made the first call to 911. He tells police he just didn't see the woman.

It's not clear yet if she was in the crosswalk when she was hit.
