Deadly motorcycle crash under investigation in Hoosick

HOOSICK - State police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash.

This crash happened Tuesday night on Clay Hill Road in the town of Hoosick.


State police say 55-year-old Kirk Vonhaggin was driving the bike, when a deer jumped out in front of him. 

When the motorcycle hit the deer, both Vonhaggin and his passenger, 66-year-old Mary Eddy, were thrown from the motorcycle.

Eddy was pronounced dead at the scene. Vonhaggin was taken to Albany Medical Center.
