Selkirk pair accused of brutal treatment leading to dog's death

May 14, 2019 10:38 PM

Bethlehem police have charged two people from Selkirk with aggravated cruelty to animals.

The department no longer releases mug shots because of a new state law. However, they identify the suspects as 25-year-old Desirae Fantroy and 28-year-old TaVon McCall.

Police got a report last month of a semi-conscious dog found inside a plastic bag in a dumpster on Maple Avenue. The dog was immediately brought to a veterinary clinic where it passed away.

Police say it was severely malnourished and lacked any regular care.
